Overview
Stenhub is a comprehensive school management platform designed to transform how K-12 institutions operate. Built to address the fragmented, manual processes that plague primary and secondary schools, Stenhub consolidates critical administrative and educational functions into a single, intuitive application. Design Evolution
The MVP was designed through collaborative effort, establishing the foundational features and user experience principles that would define the platform. The MVP won grant funding and was further validated through pilot testing with a school partner, with insights gathered informing a more mature direction. I led the design of Stenhub V1, the production-ready version, demonstrating evolved thinking around feature prioritization, user workflows, and scalability based on real-world feedback and learning.

Learnings
Research-backed design is essential, but real-world implementation revealed nuances that research alone couldn't predict. Pilot testing confirmed we were solving the right problems, but showed us which features mattered most to users. These insights directly shaped V1's priorities.
Moving from collaborating on MVP design to leading V1 design taught me that leadership means owning the vision while remaining flexible to real-world insights. It's about setting clear direction and making strategic trade-offs across competing needs.
Building for multiple user personas (teachers, admins, parents, students) requires a strong design system and clear information hierarchy. The key is creating intelligent role-based experiences that adapt to different needs while maintaining consistency across the platform.
